How do I improve the accuracy of speech recognition?
Speech recognition works best in quiet settings so if you in a complex enviroment, like a noisy coffee shop, the engine may not accurately recognize your voice. The built-in microphone should be good enough but if you can invest in a dedicated headset, it would significantly improve the recognition accuracy. Dictate using longer phrases in natural voice rather than short phrases or individual words. You should pause briefly before and after you dictate punctuation.

Dictation, by default, saves everything in your browser and no data is saved online. However, you can click the 'Publish' button to publish your text to the Internet that anyone can access.
The online note is published on Gist from Github with a secret URL that can only be accessed by people who know the URL.
